You are definitely on to something, Isa. Excellent discussion. I would add that cartoons follow culture and technology. They are often a reflection of the times, and as Disney and others have proven, parts are also intended for adults. In my baby boomer childhood cartoons were even more “pure” and it was clear the distinction between good and evil, for example.
