Well done, Will. I think you make several excellent points in your article. It is indeed key that we preserve our technology for future generations, but permanence over millennia is always tricky. It's amazing we still occasionally find papyrus scrolls, but what will future humans (or humanoids) find of our time? Will our data in the cloud last forever? Something to ponder.
