The patient portal at my internal medicine physician’s practice was very poor… not at all intuitive and clunky. What’s more, the practice charged you for using it to communicate with medical staff. This was outrageous and I didn’t pay it. Then I found out by accident that I could use it anyway… without charge! These portals need to be regulated and standardized and they should always be available at no charge.
