Provocative analysis, Simon. It seems to me that horror movies in general can swing either just plain terrifying or terrifyingly funny. Maybe some of it is in the response to the acting or the dialogue -- but it could also be the age and/or psyche of the moviegoer that causes one to either scream or laugh. Different strokes for different folks, I guess!
