Outstanding example. It leads one to think how many more examples like this one exist in healthcare, especially where lives hang in the balance, never mind in other areas. Excuse the cynicism, but it would not surprise me if some companies are fully aware of products that unintentionally discriminate yet do nothing about them — either because these items are too expensive to fix, or management just does not see a compelling reason to fix them.
