Mark, I enjoyed reading your rationale as much as seeing which songs you chose. While I am definitely more of a classic rock fan as are you, I think your five easy listening choices were good ones. My sentimental favorite would probably have been JT, but Karen Carpenter’s velvet voice is hard to beat. Of course this is a very subjective exercise — I could even make a case that some of the Eagles’ “softer songs” might also qualify. Thanks for an enjoyable read!
