Interesting discussion, Janice. Personally I think any effort to classify voters as a demographic group that leans one way or the other is a fallacy. Every voter is an individual who votes based on non-demographically related factors in my view. Even the definitions of conservative, liberal, progressive, or whatever are not the same for everyone. I believe age has little to do with being generally more “conservative” unless you mean conservative about specific things, such as being frugal, for example. The media tends to generalize voting patterns and is more often than not wrong.
