I have written frequently about vintage ads, and also collected them, so I applaud your thorough coverage of these classics. I would like to mention that, while many claims are outlandish, a close inspection of these ads will show striking similarities in the use of storytelling, action words, irresistible incentives and calls to action. These ads are the forerunners of direct marketing and online advertising and demonstrate some of the solid principles of effective advertising.
