Great observations about a wonderful TV show. I remember thinking that casting Victor French in the co-star role was odd, but it speaks to Landon’s loyalty to his actor friend. French carried off the acting assignment as any truly competent actor would and as a result was a believable character. Kudos to Michael Landon for his unwavering support of French. What a tragedy they both died young of cancer.
