Great article, Sondra. My wife and I just watched "Fly Me to the Moon" the other night (free on Apple+) and enjoyed it far more than we thought we would -- proving once again not to pay attention to mediocre reviews. The acting was great and the story was smart and engaging. It did an excellent job of toying with a long-held conspiracy theory about men on the moon.

I think your educated guess about Mary Wells Lawrence as the model and certainly the inspiration for Kelly is likely correct. She was a giant of a woman in a man's business. I retired from a career in marketing and Mary was one of my heroines -- both for being a breaker of a glass ceiling and an advertising powerhouse.
